It won’t take long to see that we do things a little differently at our office. First and foremost, we get to know you—not just your medical history, but your past dental experiences, your reasons for coming to see us, and your goals for your smile.

Accurate diagnoses and thorough, comprehensive care require an attention to detail that can only be achieved by focusing on you—and only you!—during your appointment. We value your visits and respect your time because this is your chance to have a candid, one-on-one consultation with Dr. Foreman about your needs, goals, and expectations.

Initial Visits for Children

comprehensive_dentistry
We are a very kid-friendly office, and we always take the time to help our younger patients feel at ease in our care. New patient visits for children involve:

  • Explaining how cavities develop
  • Demonstrating proper brushing and flossing
  • Examining the soft tissues for infections and abnormalities
  • Checking for dental decay
  • Evaluating wisdom teeth
  • Discussing braces and athletic mouthguards if appropriate

As with adult first visits, we may need to take dental X-rays, photographs, or molds if we feel that they will help us more accurately assess your child’s dental needs. We will also perform a standard dental cleaning and fluoride treatment during this first visit. Don’t forget to stop by the treasure chest at the end of your child’s appointment for a fun prize!
After the exam and cleaning, we will discuss all of our findings with a parent or legal guardian. We will also address any questions or concerns you may have about giving your child a head start on a lifetime of healthy smiles.

Initial Visit for Adults

During your first visit, we will perform a comprehensive evaluation of your teeth, existing dental work, gums, jaw bone, and jaw muscles. We may also take dental X-rays and photographs to get a more complete image of your bite and how your upper and lower jaws fit together. Our hygienist will clean and polish your teeth, then Dr. Foreman will examine your teeth and evaluate any X-rays or photographs that were taken.

Your first visit should take approximately 60 minutes, depending on your treatment needs and current state of oral health. We value your time and will do everything we can to make your visits with us thorough, comprehensive, and efficient.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do if I’m having a dental emergency?

We’ve all been there: you broke a filling or your child’s chipped his tooth, but your dentist can’t fit you in for two or three days. That won’t happen at Westpark Dental Care, because we know that sometimes you can’t wait even one day to get your smile back. We reserve openings in our daily schedule to accommodate dental emergencies, so you’ll never have to wait in pain. Call our office right away so we can fit you in!

Do you offer payment plans?

Absolutely! We offer a variety of financing options, including payment plans through CareCredit. We also accept most dental insurance! Visit our Financial page to learn more.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?

We know that even with our best intentions, life sometimes gets in the way. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please give us at least 24 hours notice so that we may offer your appointment time to another patient. Failure to provide 24 hours notice may result in a charge for booked time.
